The ACN – Europe online workshop held on 28 November 2025 and chaired by Dr Rosalien van der Poel, specialist in Chinese export art and a member of ACN – Europe’s scientific committee, focused on a presentation by Zeyu Zhao, PhD student in the Department of Information Studies at UCL, about an augmented reality (AR) exhibition featuring Chinese export watercolours, which stemmed from her ongoing doctoral research.
The ACN – Europe workshop “Asian Ethnographic Materials in Scandinavian Museums” took place online on 16 June 2023, in partnership with Printemps Asiatique in Paris (Asian Week in Paris). It presented two case studies: a collaboration between the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm and Taiwanese source communities; a collaboration between the National Museum of Denmark and a group of Korean creators.
The online workshop “Chinese Imperial Carpets in Northern Italy: The Schneiberg Museum”, organised by Asia Collections Network Europe (ACN – Europe), was held on 22 January 2025.
Marco Guglielminotti Trivel (curator and specialist in East Asian art and archaeology with a focus on China) presented an overview of a private collection of a particular type of Chinese carpets.
